This year’s Weekend will be the largest edition in the festival’s history. From September 24 to 27, Rovinj will host eight festival programmes, hundreds of speakers and thousands of participants from across the region and around the world, further strengthening its position as one of the most important gathering places for the business, media, technology and creative communities of Southeast Europe.

Over nearly two decades, Weekend has evolved from a communications conference into an event that brings together professionals from different industries and creates space for discussions on topics shaping business, society and technology. This year’s edition further expands its scope through as many as eight festival formats.

Alongside Weekend.19, the programme will include HR.Weekend, Tech.Weekend, Finance.Weekend, Investment.Weekend and Energy.Weekend, while Health.Weekend and Education.Weekend will be presented for the first time. The programme will cover topics including artificial intelligence, investment, energy, healthcare, education, media, human resources and modern business.

Among the confirmed participants are experts from various fields, including Laura Bermudez, as well as media leaders Miran Pavić and Ulrik Haagerup. Organisers emphasise that the focus will be on questions that are already influencing the future of work, media, healthcare, education and the economy.

One of the festival’s defining characteristics remains its ability to connect people from different industries. Entrepreneurs, investors, creatives, journalists, experts and decision-makers from across the region traditionally gather in Rovinj, while informal meetings and conversations outside the official programme are often cited as one of the main reasons participants return year after year.

This year’s programme will also include a panel dedicated to the film “Svadba”, while the festival content will be complemented by the evening programme for which Weekend has become well known. Organisers are announcing a series of events that will continue bringing together participants and guests long after the final panel has ended.

Weekend.19 will once again transform Rovinj into a regional hub for conversations about the future of business, technology, media and society, bringing together industries that increasingly share the same challenges and search for common solutions.
