For the first time since its inception, Effie Slovenia will have two jury presidents. The roles for the 2027 edition will be taken on by Mojca Pesendorfer, Global Marketing Lead for Category and Brand Development for Gourmet Spreads at Atlantic Grupa, and Davorin Milinović, Head of Strategy and Analytics at A1 Slovenia.
The decision comes at a time when the number of submitted entries continues to grow year after year, while the organisers seek to maintain a high standard of professional evaluation and the credibility of the judging process. The new structure introduces a division of focus between two areas. One president will be primarily focused on the FMCG sector and consumer brands, while the other will place greater emphasis on service industries and B2B marketing.
Both bring experience gained on both the advertiser and agency sides and have been closely connected to the Effie community for years. They have served as jury members, while Mojca Pesendorfer previously also held the position of Programme Director of Effie Slovenia and served as an international juror.
Their professional backgrounds are strongly rooted in strategic marketing, brand development, business strategy, analytics and effectiveness measurement, which aligns with the fundamental principles on which the Effie methodology is built.
“I see my role as an opportunity not only to reward projects that demonstrably contribute to business growth, but also to highlight the methodology and mechanisms behind those results. Effie does not reward likability. Effie rewards results, while at the same time creating a space where our profession can learn from the best,” said Mojca Pesendorfer.
Davorin Milinović emphasises that “Effie is much more than a competition because it represents one of the most important frameworks for developing strategically effective marketing.”
The jury presidents will be involved in the entire evaluation process for submitted work, which is conducted according to global standards and clearly defined effectiveness criteria. Their responsibilities will also include presenting new international guidelines to jury members and incorporating insights from their own professional experience into the educational component of the process.
The growth in the number of entries in recent years further confirms Effie Slovenia’s position as one of the key regional benchmarks of marketing effectiveness, while the new organisational structure demonstrates how the growth of the competition is also changing the way the quality of professional evaluation is ensured.
