Many brands and media have marked the launch of the last season of the planetary popular series Game of Thrones, but among all the crazy stunts, one graveyard in Australia takes the cake.
Australian broadcaster Foxtel, in collaboration with DDB Sydney, created a 2000-square meter pop-up “graveyard” that pays tribute to the beloved and infamous characters from this series, describing their gruesome deaths.
The graveyard is located in the Centennial Park in Sydney, ad its production was done by a whole army of sculptors, builders and designers, under creative guidance of DDB Sydney, and produced by Revolver/Will O’Rourke and The Glue Society.
DDB Australia Chief Creative Officer Ben Welsh commented the stunt: “The detail of the build is staggering, and we’re acutely aware of the pressure on us to execute with meticulous detail. When you’re dealing with show like this, with such an obsessive fanbase, you’ve really got to pull out all the stops.”
