The year behind us brought a host of excellent smartphones, and the trend is set to continue in 2016.
It’s the beginning of the year, and as always, it’s quite exciting because this is the time when CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas and MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona are held. These are the events that usually showcase the most important phones coming during the year.
The first half of 2016 will bring numerous top of the range phones, and most will operate on Android, according to zimo.dnevnik.hr
1. ASUS ZenFone 3
It is expected that the new ZenFone will come with the popular fingerprint scanner and the USB Type-C port, but the rest of the specs are still unknown.
2. LG G5
LG G5 unveiling is expected in April, and this will be the first phone to be powered by Snapdragon 820 processor.
3. HTC One M10
Design of One M9 wasn’t much different its predecessor, so it’s possible that this year HTC will roll out a completely new design.
4. Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge
It’s expected that the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will look identically, or more precisely that they will have casing made of metal and glass. We also expect 5.2-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD screen, 20 MP camera, support for SD card and Exynos 8890, or Snapdragon 820 processor.
5. Sony Xperia Z6
Sony’s Xperia Z6 will most probably carry a Snapdragon 820, and it’s expected that this model will be waterproof.
6. iPhone 7
iPhone 7 almost certainly won’t be unveiled in the beginning of the year, but in September. There are already rumours that Apple’s new flagship could come without a physical “home” button, but also without the 3.5mm headphone jack.
