The Croatian Association of Market Communications Companies (HURA) celebrated 25 years of successful operations with a grand gathering of leading professionals and agencies in the market communications industry. The celebration took place on December 5, 2024, at the Grand Park Hotel Rovinj, bringing together CEOs and top management of key agencies, providing a platform to discuss industry challenges and its future.
In addition to the formal assembly, the second annual forum of HURA members was held. The forum was designed to foster dialogue, share experiences and ideas, and ensure the continued development of the domestic market communications industry.
“HURA and its member agencies have not achieved these milestones by chance over the past 25 years – the communications industry plays a crucial role in economic progress, brand development, and creating opportunities,” stated Dunja Ivana Ballon, long-standing Executive Director of HURA. “With a shared vision and collaboration, the next 25 years will be even more successful.”
HURA Board President Jelena Fiškuš emphasized the importance of joint efforts: “Over the past 25 years, the world has changed at an incredible pace. That is why it’s reassuring to know we are not left on our own and have a community that supports us through it all and prepares us for what is to come – and that is HURA.”
Impressive Results
HURA currently comprises 62 agencies, representing nearly 80% of the total advertising budgets in Croatia. In 2023, member agencies generated total revenues exceeding €342 million, marking a 12% growth compared to the previous year, according to publicly available data from FINA. Additionally, HURA holds the license for IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau), and its platform IAB Croatia includes 112 members.
Beyond business achievements, HURA stands out for organizing the Communications Days festival, whose latest edition broke attendance records and confirmed its status as one of the best festivals in this part of the world.
