In just two days, Zadar will become a global hub for sports, technology, and media. From June 5th to 7th, this coastal Croatian city will host the Sunset Sports Festival, kicking off with exclusive filming for CBS Sports and the official Sofascore Player of the Season awards ceremony. Taking place at the St. Nicholas Center and Fortis Club at Punta Skala, the festival will gather top athletes, media figures, and tech innovators from around the world.
Fresh from broadcasting the UEFA Champions League final in Munich and an exclusive livestream with David Beckham and Tom Cruise, the CBS Sports crew – led by Emmy-winning producer Pete Radovich – is heading to Croatia. Radovich, known for the ’Beckham & Friends Live’ special and CBS’s signature football production style, said this visit is more than just another assignment – it’s an opportunity to merge world-class television production with the unique setting of an already recognized festival.

Joining him in Zadar, Kate Scott, one of CBS’s most prominent commentators, and legendary goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, along with the rest of the dynamic CBS team, whose energy and spontaneity have won over U.S. audiences. According to The New York Times, CBS has succeeded where many have failed – creating a studio atmosphere comparable to the iconic ’Inside the NBA’, combining top-tier production with authenticity and emotion.
The festival program kicks off on Thursday, June 5 at 9:00 PM at the St. Nicholas Center, while the main events move to Fortis Club in Punta Skala on Friday and Saturday. There, attendees will enjoy lectures, panels, demonstrations, and a variety of interactive and entertaining content. Among the guests is Stipe Miočić, one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time.
This year also brings two major innovations to the festival: the Sunset Esports Festival and Sunset Sports Performance Lab, further establishing Croatia as a forward-thinking and unmissable sports destination.
