HURA has started a new education course starting on Friday, 6th October. The goal of the course is to improve competencies for (self) regulation on the national level and at the same time to improve domestic market communication industry. The course will educate experts for self regulation and regulation within the industry and the best of them will be certified as Court Expert Witnesses for Marketing Communications in association with Croatian Association of Court Expert Witnesses and Valuers.
This course programme is unique in Europe; by investing in it HURA is trying to increase number of experts who will be able to evaluate compliance of advertising with ethical and legislative rules. This will strengthen the ability of agencies and other experts for self regulation and generally add more credibility to HURA’s position in the market. Lately, this has been very important as the pressure from the industry regulator has increased.
Kamilo Antolović, court expert witness for marketing communication and initiator of HURA’s programme, says that the impact of advertising and marketing communications is powerful, the market is expanding fast, digital communication and ever increasing number of messages aimed at consumers call for consistent and careful governance which should take into consideration ethical, social and ecological aspects. All of these considerations are present in HURA’s programme. It is important to educate creators of market messages and activities to evaluate and apply rules of more responsible advertising thus strengthening its role and improving its perception in wider society.
By increasing the number of Court Expert Witnesses for marketing communication, the market will be better equipped to evaluate compliance of advertising with ethical and legislative rules. This will strengthen self-regulation in the market and add credibility to experts and agencies.
The course participants are members of The Croatian Association of Communications Agencies (HURA), and their participation is free of charge.
