What happens when a quarter of a century of business success is celebrated? A campaign is created that radiates emotion, culture, and authentic local expression.
Major business milestones deserve more than standard, explanatory messages – they deserve content that will be remembered and that reminds clients of continuity and values built over time. This is precisely the foundation of the new image campaign by BBI Bank, developed in collaboration with the agency Communis.
The creative concept goes beyond classic banking storytelling and returns to the universal language of emotion. At a time when it is increasingly difficult to communicate stability and trust, the creative team behind the campaign turned to the sevdalinka as a symbol of collective emotion, belonging, and the connection between past and present, homeland and diaspora, tradition and modern life.
At first glance, this may seem like a purely aesthetic choice, but behind it lies a strategic creative approach. As Hamdija Pašić, Creative Director at Communis, pointed out: “From the very beginning, it was clear that this campaign was not meant to explain who BBI Bank is, but to show what a relationship built over 25 years looks like. Emotion, belonging, and trust are not communicated through slogans, but through a feeling that stays with you.”
The “A Bank for Our Soul” campaign also stands out for being created entirely locally, in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Direction was led by renowned Bosnian director Elmir Jukić, with music composed by Dino Šukalo. The emphasis on complete authenticity further deepens the emotional layer of the campaign, successfully blending contemporary expression with traditional local roots.
“What always inspires me in working with BBI Bank is the sincerity of their message and the fact that every campaign is built on real value for people. The new commercial brings authentic motifs that remind us of our roots, while placing them in the context of today’s life – energetic, digital, and open to the future,” emphasized Elmir Jukić.
The campaign portrays a day in the life of the bank from the perspective of both clients and employees, showing spaces and services that evolve alongside people. Branches, ATMs, and digital solutions are presented as part of everyday life – simple, accessible, and adapted to real needs, without the need for additional explanation.
By following one day in motion, the campaign brings the bank closer to everyone who uses its services and those who work within it. Spaces and services naturally fit into daily routines, while branches, ATMs, and digital tools are shown as something taken for granted – simple, accessible, and in service of real needs.
“The new image campaign of BBI Bank is the result of our continuous investment in building a strong and recognizable brand. Through a professional and strategic approach, we aim to show that BBI Bank does not build trust through words alone, but through actions — long-term presence, stability, and innovations aligned with the real needs of our clients. The campaign is designed to inspire, connect, and confirm our role as a reliable partner in all important life and business moments,” said Amra Babić, Director of Marketing and Communications at BBI Bank.
The collaboration between BBI Bank and Communis once again shows that campaigns are not created from the need to say something, but from the need to make something felt. And is there a better way to do that than by intertwining emotion, culture, and authentic local expression?
