For the fifth consecutive year, the international Digital Labin conference, organized by Lloyds digital, brought together more than 600 digital designers, developers, and project managers, transforming the charming mining town into the center of the IT scene in Croatia.
The conference, which won the Eventex Awards in the Tech Event category, once again confirmed its importance and influence both regionally and globally, not only as a place for learning and networking but also as a place where future trends are defined, and new standards in the industry are set. This year, the conference had the richest program to date.
The first day was reserved for specialized Masterclasses, held in the exceptional congress halls of Maslinica Hotel & Resort right by the sea, where five specialized workshops were conducted simultaneously. Build an AI Personal Trainer that will force you to work out every morning, a masterclass led by Rino Kovačević from Devōt, thrilled all participants, while Martina Šnajdar’s Masterclass from Infinum was in such high demand that extra tickets were sought. Jure Sić, a creative from Supercharge Design, impressed attendees with his Masterclass titled Bring your UI Designs to Life: Animation and Interactivity on Web with Framer.

The second day of the conference was held across three simultaneous tracks, led by Iva Šulentić, Ivan Šarić, and Pinija Poljaković, in rooms with carefully chosen names: Hangar Arena (Design), Mine Hall (Dev&Data), and Business Garage (PM&BizDev). Visitors had the opportunity to learn about Directus directly from Co-Founder Rijk van Zanten, while Eric Sangarné and Arthur Gall: Head of Digital Operations and Senior Art Director from the French company Immersive Garden, revealed the secrets of emotional connection and design. On the Project Management track, Pragya Jauhari from Booking.com shone. The stage also featured big names from well-known companies such as Adoratorio Studio, Stripe, Porsche Digital Croatia, Productive, Q Agency, Levi9 te Studio 28K. Through their inspiring lectures, they offered participants new perspectives and encouraged them to think creatively, act outside the box, push their boundaries, and create new, quality solutions with a shared goal: a bright outlook toward the future.
In addition to the lectures, this year’s conference presented numerous novelties and surprises, one of which was the involvement of the local community in the conference. More than 600 visitors had the opportunity to enjoy tastings from exceptional Labin region winemakers: Vina Juričić, Vina Kos, Vina Matiška and Vina Prskalo, with OPG Forto adding a bit of spice to the day. Beer lovers were not left out, as they had the chance to enjoy Labin’s own beer, Labona. TZ Labin Rabac, TZ Raša, TZ Općina Sveta Nedelja and TZ Kršan made sure to showcase the beauty of Labin, its cultural heritage, rich history, and scenic landscapes to all visitors.
The fifth edition of the Digital Labin conference was held under the sponsorship of the City of Labin and the County of Istria, with speeches at the official opening given by Borjan Batagelj, Head of Social Activities for the City of Labin, and Tulio Demetlika, Deputy Prefect of the County of Istria. The conference was organized by the Lloyds digital team with production support from Sonolux.
