Jelena Fiškuš, co-founder and creative director of Studio Sonda, as well as Chairwoman of the Board of HURA and IAB Croatia, has been invited once again to serve as a jury member at the prestigious Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2025, in the Industry Craft category. This will be her second time judging entries at the world’s leading creativity festival, further cementing her status as one of the most influential creatives in the marketing communications industry in Croatia and the region.
In 2022, Jelena Fiškuš became the first person from Croatia to be part of the Cannes Lions jury.
“The invitation to return to the Cannes Lions jury came as a surprise — and of course, a delight. Since our first jury participation in 2022, Croatian representatives have been continuously invited to join the jury, which I see as a sign of our industry’s development and growing position on the global stage. It’s also important to note that the number of Lions awarded to Croatian work is increasing year after year. That is truly a major achievement, considering this is the world’s largest creativity festival, and a seat on the jury is earned — only 3% of all submitted works end up winning awards. During the extensive judging process, I’ll once again have the opportunity to see the best global work and hear expert opinions, which I consider invaluable for personal development — and I’ll do my best to share all these insights with our domestic market,” she said.
To recap, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity will take place from June 16 to 20 in Cannes. This 72nd edition of the festival brings many innovations, including significant investments in programs for equality, representation, and accessibility (ERA Pass), aimed at including a wider range of talent from diverse communities. New categories and subcategories have also been introduced, reflecting the evolution of the global creative economy.
Joining Jelena Fiškuš in judging the Industry Craft category will be Matthias Spaetgens, Alvaro Becker, Ben Golik, Gabrielle Shirdan, Joaquin Molla, Jody Xiong, Julia Hoffman, Lara Assouad, Mariko Fukuoka, and Nene Parsotam.
