On Thursday evening, the National Theatre in Sarajevo hosted the first Advertissimo concert organized by Media Marketing, performed by the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra. Conducted by maestro Ivo Lipanović, the performance featured the phenomenal pianist Ruben Dalibaltayan as a soloist. The audience included individuals from agencies, marketing departments, and media professionals. This event marked Bosnia and Herzegovina’s advertising industry as the first to have its own concert performed by a philharmonic orchestra, and possibly the first advertising industry in the world to gather its members for such a prestigious occasion.

The theater was packed. The concert concluded with the audience on their feet, enthusiastically applauding the conductor and musicians. During the intermission and after the concert, everyone had words of praise, often expressing: “I can’t wait for the next concert!”

Advertissimo’s Success Owes Much to Its Sponsors

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the sponsors who made this event possible:

  • Gold Sponsors: Alma Ras, the Fabrika agency (which named the concert and created its visual identity), Degordian Mostar (which developed the Advertissimo website), and Via Media.
  • Media Sponsors: Europlakat, which provided 21 billboard spaces, Federal TV, and BLOW UP, which enhanced the theater’s ambiance with LED posters.

We asked several friends who attended the concert to share their thoughts on Advertissimo as a concept for an annual gathering of communication industry professionals at a world-class philharmonic concert.

The Adverissimo project is such a simple idea, and it’s no coincidence that it emerged during these challenging times.
It was a night to remember – a night when art triumphed, fueled by the unique energy of music and the audience. May it become a tradition, inspiring our industry and media to foster more collaboration and communication.

A project like Adverissimo, organized by Media Marketing, plays a vital role in strengthening ties between the creative industry, clients, and media through a unique fusion of art and business. The Sarajevo Philharmonic, performing at the prestigious National Theatre Sarajevo, provides a platform for promoting cultural values and creative expression, while simultaneously reinforcing relationships within the industry.

This event contributes to creating an innovative business environment, where art serves as a means to promote synergy between agencies, their clients, and the media, fostering inspiration, creativity, and collaboration. Additionally, such projects raise awareness about the importance of investing in culture and art while enriching Sarajevo’s social scene.

Long live Adverissimo!

Irena Miličević Vukoja, Woman.Comm Club
On Thursday evening, the National Theatre was the epicenter of creative energy and inspiration.
The entire morning after the concert, the Woman.Comm team reflected on their impressions and had nothing but praise. We truly enjoyed it. It was wonderful to see so many creative individuals in one place – relaxed and inspired, far removed from everyday deadlines and tasks. This wasn’t just a concert; it was an opportunity to connect, converse, and remind ourselves why we love what we do while also viewing business through a creative lens.

It’s hard to put into words the energy and emotion that filled the space – it was an evening that blurred the lines between art and contemporary expression, opening a new dimension of enjoyment and thought.

The Sarajevo Philharmonic, under the baton of maestro Ivo Lipanović, delivered a program that amazed everyone present. It was particularly inspiring to observe how the entire orchestra functioned as a unified whole, prompting me to think, from a business perspective, about the importance of leadership in guiding a team.

The performance gained an additional layer of brilliance thanks to the virtuosic soloist Ruben Dalibaltayan. His interpretation was masterful and full of emotion, leaving a lasting impression with every piece. The love and passion in his performance inspired me to reflect on how those very qualities are the key to success in everything we do.

The magnificent ambiance of the National Theatre enhanced the overall experience. The audience was captivated – every performance was met with thunderous applause and gasps of admiration.

What impressed me most was the creativity in blending classical music with modern sensibilities. At times, the Philharmonic seemed to communicate with light and movement, creating a synergy so powerful that each moment felt like part of a larger narrative.

Adverissimo was not just a concert – it was an artistic experience that reminded me of the power of music to inspire, connect, and transform our perspective of the world. I left the hall with a smile on my face, grateful to have been part of this magical evening. This was a world-class event that filled us all with pride for being part of this story.

Thank you, Media Marketing, for organizing such a special event – this is definitely the beginning of a tradition I eagerly look forward to.

Our colleagues and partners whom we invited to Advertissimo truly enjoyed the masterful performances of the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Ivo Lipanović and the virtuosity of pianist Ruben Dalibaltayan. Events like these are not only an opportunity to indulge in top-tier music but also to foster collaboration and exchange ideas in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere. Advertissimo has proven how important it is to merge the creative industry with art, as this fusion holds new inspiration and strength for future projects. Thank you to the organizers for this exceptional initiative and the opportunity to be part of such a unique event.

Violeta Smailović Huart, Violinist, Concertmaster of the Sarajevo Philharmonic
First and foremost, I would like to emphasize how important the initiative to organize Advertissimo concerts is. This is an excellent opportunity for people from the creative industry to meet with clients and media, strengthening and deepening their collaboration.

This was also a chance for people in the communications industry to become familiar with the intensive work of the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra. Additionally, it was an opportunity to understand the challenges of acquiring instruments and organizing financial support for purchasing instruments for the Philharmonic. The importance of having high-quality instruments cannot be overstated if we want to produce a better, more refined, and more powerful sound.

In major musical centers, orchestras often own several world-class, multi-million-dollar instruments such as Stradivarius, Guadanini, and Guarnerius, with the help of sponsors. For example, my professor Emanuel Borok left his position as concertmaster in one of the world’s greatest orchestras (Boston Symphony) to join the Dallas Symphony, solely because they offered him a contract to play on a Stradivarius owned by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

Furthermore, in wealthier countries, the musicians themselves often possess excellent instruments, all of which contribute to the overall quality of the orchestra’s sound. For instance, my bow alone, which might seem like just a simple stick with some horsehair, is worth as much as five better violins.

We understand that we cannot have such grand ambitions, but starting with the procurement of better instruments than those currently used by Philharmonic members is a huge and extremely important step. It is also worth noting that instruments like violins (unless broken) are indestructible, gain value over time, and can last for centuries.

I also want to say that it was a great pleasure to attend the first Advertissimo concert, to listen to my dear friend and exceptional pianist Ruben Dalibaltayan, as well as my beloved colleagues from the Sarajevo Philharmonic under the baton of the sensational and charismatic conductor Ivo Lipanović.

I deeply regret that I could not contribute to the success of this concert with my own sound, but due to a fall on Sarajevo’s icy sidewalks, I am currently unable to play my violin.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of the Advertissimo story!
Last night’s concert was an experience we will remember for a long time. The music completely captivated us, creating an atmosphere that uniquely connected everyone present. Each note carried its own emotion.

These kinds of gatherings, where clients, agencies, and media come together in an informal setting, hold immense value. Connecting in such moments not only strengthens collaboration but also builds genuine, long-term relationships.

At the concert, alongside Hrvoje and me, were our clients from Holdina, who couldn’t hide their excitement.
I can’t wait for the next Advertissimo!

Ivona Jurilj, Director of Degordian Mostar
My colleagues who attended the concert were thrilled! Absolutely thrilled!!! And what makes me even happier is that the clients were even more excited. The concert was truly magnificent; they kept sending me videos and pictures so I could feel like I was a part of it, at least a little. Congratulations and well done!

Advertissimo was truly an evening to remember. Sitting in the National Theater, listening to the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of maestro Ivo Lipanović, and enjoying the masterful performances of Tchaikovsky and Dvořák was an incredible experience.

What particularly moved me was how music, with all its universality and power, fit so perfectly into our industry. We work in a world where connection is the key to everything – connecting ideas, people, and brands – and Advertissimo was the perfect illustration of this.

There was a special energy, warmth, and inspiration in every moment, and socializing with industry colleagues in such a unique setting only strengthened those connections. This wasn’t just a concert; it was a reminder of why we do what we do – because creativity and art always find a way to bring people together.

Thank you to the organizers for this wonderful evening. I look forward to future gatherings and such inspiring moments.
