The project Time for Your Time by the Rovinj studio Tumpić/Prenc continues to collect global recognition. The packaging of the aged wine Teran Barrique, from the Istrian winery Franc Arman, won the Cresta (Creative Standard) award. This is one of the most prestigious global awards in the field of creativity, with works from more than 70 countries and many esteemed companies in the global industry competing.
A world-class jury, composed of 120 experts in the creative industry, awarded bronze to the solution of a bottle locked in a box, inaccessible for opening until the time of maturation. The bottle is accompanied by an app that, via a QR code on the box, sends the bottle’s owner messages over a long period, educating them about the history of enology and the beauty of winemaking. At the designated time, it also provides a code to unlock the wine, with the message Time isfor Your Time.

“We are proud of this respectable award, after our project received numerous recognitions, including the most prestigious one – Cannes Lions. Particularly because this time it’s a festival that highlights truly high standards in creative achievements. This is yet another confirmation of our creativity, effort, and originality, placing our studio on the global map,” emphasized creative director Anselmo Tumpić.
The Cresta Awards have been held since 1993, initially in New York and several other cities, and since 2004 as an online festival. Unlike some awards, Cresta avoids lavish events and unnecessary international travel. As one of the first fully online festivals, it rewards tangible long-term value in exchange for investing in creativity.
Studio Tumpić/Prenc also won bronze at Zagreb Design Week, which is currently taking place. The winning formula for their Istriana project proved to be the combination of past and present with a contemporary interpretation of Istrian tradition. This continued the series of awards for the packaging of Istriana extra virgin olive oil by the producer E Pluribus Unum. At the awards ceremony at Jadran Film studios, the award was received by the studio’s director, Sara Prenc Opačić.

“The beauty of Rovinj and its coastal landscape continuously provide us with inspiration and the peace necessary to fully and equally dedicate ourselves to all our clients and their accomplishments that they wish to highlight. Therefore, since the studio’s founding in 2017, we have continually had the opportunity to work on intriguing projects, both in Istria, the rest of the country, and abroad,” said Sara Prenc Opačić.
The awarded Istriana box emphasizes the connection to the past through the shape of a specific Roman amphora in which olive oil was stored. In the Roman period, Istria enjoyed great renown for producing top-quality olive oil, and over the past thirty years, it has gradually regained its status as one of the world’s best regions for olive growing. The shards of the amphora, assembled on the bottle into a meaningful whole, symbolize fragments of forgotten knowledge that breathe life into contemporary Istrian olive growing.
