Deadline for entries for the seventh edition of the prestigious Croatian Effie Award has expired. Effie competition, which rewards the most significant achievements in marketing communications in the areas of efficiency and strategic thinking of marketing campaigns, this year will include 35 agencies and 25 advertisers. HURA, the organizer of this competition, also expressed satisfaction with this year’s 36 submitted projects.
Projects in the running for this year’s Effie award will compete in seven categories. The competition is the largest in the categories of Telecommunication Services and Beverages, where nine projects were reported in each of the categories. The next in terms of volume are the categories Finance and Insurance Services and Food, with five submitted projects in each.
“We are pleased with this year’s number of registered agencies, advertisers and ultimately the total number of projects. Given the number of applications, this year’s Effie competition will again provide a quality showdown, and an opportunity for applicants to demonstrate how they achieved excellent results with their market communication strategies. According to the submitted projects, for another consecutive year we will have an efficient exchange of great marketing ideas and know-how,” said Kristijan Gregorić from Franck, president of the jury.

Winners of Effie Awards will be announced at an awards ceremony which will be held as part of the Days of Communication, the most important professional marketing event in Croatia, which will be held 14 to 17 April 2016 at the hotel Lone in Rovinj.
Registration fees for participants at Days of Communication:
For members of HURA, IAB and HUOJ, and for clients of HURA agencies, package of admission fees for participation in the festival, with 3 nights in a luxury hotel Lone, is HRK 2,311.00 (€302.94)*. There are also packages 5+2 and 10+5 fees with a 20% discount on accommodation at Lone**. All interested parties who decide to stay in hotel Lone will achieve a significant discount on the registration fee.
