Today officially marks the beginning of the 24th SEMPL, the media conference organized by Mediapool, which will once again bring together leading experts, visionaries, and creators shaping the future of media and communications. The red thread of this year’s SEMPL is “Opportunities lie in the details,” which is also reflected in the selection of speakers and the program’s content highlights.
The program is opened by exceptional guests whose work and ideas strongly influence the global creative industry:
- Damon Baker, a world-renowned photographer known for his powerful, emotionally charged portraits of stars and contemporary visual storytelling. He will speak about the decision-making processes that changed his life, the details of the creative process, and the importance of that small detail that can change the course of our career and life – as well as the careers and lives of others.
- Tamlyn Wright, a respected creative producer and scenographer who sets new standards in experiential design through her work. She will reveal how, in an era of digital numbness, we can reconnect people through live experience.
- Renata Salecl, one of the most esteemed Slovenian philosophers and sociologists, will present how details, small shifts in emotions and reactions, determine whether we become trapped in manipulation or find strength in them for critical reflection and further development.
- Ines Markovčič, editor and program director of Super Znamke, will offer insight into the innovativeness of traditional media, their strategic role in contemporary branding, and inspiring stories that prove that success is possible even in an “impossible” medium.
This year’s program brings even more content, as it will take place simultaneously across three stages.
Inspiration Stage will host the keynote speakers.
Media Pulse Hub will host the IAB institute academy and is intended for experts in digital advertising and media strategy.
Mind Space will offer a space for in-depth workshops, interactive formats, and inspiring conversations on personal development and innovation.
The evening program will be marked by the Sempler awards, which celebrate the best media strategies in the region. The day will end in a creative spirit – with an energetic afterparty sponsored by the portal Sammozavestno.si, featuring music by DJ Marino. And of course, that’s not all – SEMPL will also offer a range of expert insights on Friday.
This year’s SEMPL once again confirms that it remains a key hub of knowledge, inspiration, and industry developments that shape the future of communications.
