YOU CAN ENTER YOUR WORKS FOR SEMPLER AWARDS BY FRIDAY, 10 NOVEMBER
As this week comes to pass, so will the deadline for entering your works for the Sempler awards. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to crush the competition and show your clients in the Adriatic region that your agency is the best choice for them. Of course, you have a little bit of time left. An entire working week is enough for you to prepare the application and submit it to the organizers.
And after you enter your work, it’s just customary to go to Sempl in Portorož (November 23, 24) and be there, ready to receive the award if the jury so decides. While waiting for the winners to be announced, you can listen to more than twenty lecturers from all over the world, organize business meetings, exchange business cards and expand your network of contacts with very important and influential people because only that kind of people come to Sempl. You can also have a lot of fun as the organizers have prepared a rich entertainment program.

EUROPEAN EXCELLENCE AWARDS: CAMPAIGN FOR CARNET’S PILOT PROJECT E-SCHOOLS ENTERS TOP FIVE PR CAMPAIGNS IN THE BALKANS
Campaign to promote the pilot project E-school: The Establishment of a System for Digitally Mature Schools, led by the Croatian Academic and Research Network – CARNet since 2015, is one of the top five PR campaigns from the Balkans, and is competing for the prestigious European Excellence Awards.
The European Excellence Awards are part of the global recognition of excellence for communication and PR professionals and their most significant achievements and campaigns in the past year. The e-School pilot project’s communication campaign was nominated in The Balkans category and as the only representative from Croatia competes for the main prize in this category with the campaigns that were realized in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Romania. The announcement of the winners in all categories will take place in Hamburg (Germany) on November 30 this year.

BALKAN TUBE FEST CARAVAN IS CATCHING STEAM , HEADING FOR THE FIRST STOP – SARAJEVO!
The new edition of the Balkan Tube Fest – the largest regional festival of YouTube culture – will kick off on 25 and 26 November in Sarajevo.
From year to year, the Balkan YouTube scene is expanding and there are more and more Youtubers of different interests that create different content, and more and more people are interested in this content. YouTube combines content creators on one hand, and kids and young people on the other, through socializing, education and play! Thousands of Youtubers and their followers after previous festivals went back home exhilarated, knowing that they got to meet each other, learn something new and make new friendships with people of similar interests.
The stars of the show in Sarajevo’s Skenderija, in the Youth House, will be popular Youtubers from the whole region: Amir Hadzic, Huligani iz gimnazije, Vedox, Nedim, Neki Youtuber, Vanimy, Baka prase, Kovalska, Cile, Kiko, Lea, Nađa Stanojević, Andrija Jo, Petra i Davor Gerbus, Ruža Rupić and the PCAXE crew, as well as many others.
#BTFSarajevo will be held on November 25 and 26, 2017 at the Youth House in Sarajevo starting at 12h! The program will be held in two rooms. The start of the main program in the big hall is scheduled for 12:00hrs, while the small hall, as always, will be reserved for the Q&A panels.
JYSK EXTENDS CONTRACT WITH DENTSU AEGIS NETWORK
The international retail chain JYSK Nordic and the Dents Aegis Network have been successfully collaborating for the past three and a half years, and now this cooperation, covering 21 different markets across Europe, has been extended for an additional three years.
JYSK Nordic and Dentsu Aegis Network have jointly produced more than 1,200 marketing campaigns.
Every four days JYSK opens a new shop somewhere in the world, and this year they mark the opening of their 2,500th shop.
The Dentsu Aegis Network in Zagreb is also proud and satisfied with its collaboration with one of the largest international Danish companies.
CLIO ENTERTAINMENT WINNERS ANNOUNCED
Clio Entertainment Awards have announced this year’s winners, and among the Clio Grand winners are campaigns for movie It, Lord of the Rings books, Viceland, Gravity Daze 2, and others.
The awards, which were handed out at a ceremony held at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, honor creative communications across the entertainment industry in film, TV, home entertainment and gaming. Jeffrey Tambor hosted the ceremony.
Also honored at the event for a third year were agency, studio, television network and game publisher “Of the Year” winners. These honors are presented to the advertising agency, film studio, television/streaming network and game publisher that received the most overall Clio Entertainment statue points for entries submitted across all medium types. This year’s winners are:
Agency of the Year: LA – Lindeman & Associates
Game Publisher of the Year: Microsoft Studios/Xbox
Studio of the Year: Warner Bros. Pictures
Television/Streaming Network of the Year: FX Network

SNAP REPORTEDLY ACQUIRES METAMARKETS FOR UNDER $100 M TO MEASURE CAMPAIGN PERFORMANCES
Snapchat’s parent company Snap has reportedly acquired ad tech startup Metamarkets for under $100m to measure how campaigns are performing; featuring an API to import programmatic data into other apps.
Twitter, Oath and Rubicon Projects are some of Metamarkets clients.
As reported by Tech Crunch, Metamarkets is profitable and currently generating tens of millions in revenues. It’s not clear what happens with the company’s existing business as part of the deal.
