21. SKOJ: Changes awaiting organizations, and the role of communicators in finding solutions to these challenges

Theme of this year’s event are the changes facing organiuations, and the role of communicators in finding solutions to these challenges.

On challenges of change for successful future

At the 21st SKOJ conference, communicators will find out that preparedness for challenges is key to managing and strengthening brand reputation, and is essential for effective communication and cocreation of milestone changes. Experts from Slovenia and abroad will discuss on the first day of the conference how to communicate the image of an employer, and what kind of a role communicators play in creating a pleasant working environment. They will also examine how an employer’s brand can shine, and how to recognize influential people in organizations. The second day of the conference will be dedicated to the storms that often strike communicators and their organizations, the skills that are important when communicators are in crisis and suggestions on how to deal with difficulties and come out of them even stronger.

From internal influencers to a drama in a drama

One of the speakers at the conference will be Michael Nord, a Norwegian consultant at the global communications company Fifth Business, and a member of the international executive board of the IABC. He will reveal the secrets of recognizing influencers in organizations. “When we recognize the influencers in a company, we need to ask them whether they would like to become ambassadors, and help in achieving the vision and goals of the company. If they accept, then you have to work with them. Not only tell them what is expected of them and what we will do, but we should ask them what they would do, how they would communicate and reach people. An important element is the cocreation,” Nord says.

Among the speakers is also Dr. Damjana Pondelek, director of the Urednica company, an expert in strategic and crisis management, who will talk about crisis situations in companies, and Igor Samobor, director of SNG Drama Ljubljana, who will reveal the dramas within dramas and in the Drama.
