The best and world-renowned creatives from the agencies R/GA New York, McCann Paris, Adam&EveDDB London, Publicis Groupe, are just some of the speakers at the second consecutive national festival of integrated communications – KAKTUS 2016, which takes place on 27 and 28 October at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Belgrade. Under this year’s slogan “Construct good ideas!” the festival will focus on the integration, but also the effort construct only good ideas.
KAKTUS 2016 will offer participants a high quality and varied program, but also practical examples from different areas of integrated communications, as well as an overview of the latest international trends, and the second day of the festival will open with the lecture by Bruno Luglio, Senior Creative Art Director at agency R/GA New York (USA), on the theme “Who? What? Why? – The Metrics of a Simple Idea”. Early in his career, Bruno worked in European agencies – Jung von Matt Hamburg, Ogilvy & Mather Paris, DDB Berlin, thjnk Hamburg. In 2012 he went to Brazil and began working at DAVID The Agency at the position of Art Director. He received numerous prestigious international awards including 21 Cannes Lions, D&AD, London International Awards, One Show, ADC Germany, Eurobest, Clio Awards, etc.
An attractive lecture on a current topic, “Napoleon, Burgers, Drunk Robots, Scary Cheese, Kick-Ass Youth, Je Suis Charlie, Organic Comic Books and much more… Europe: a very French survival guide”, will be held by Riccardo Fregoso, Executive Creative Director at McCann Paris. His philosophical background instilled in him a radical and analytical way of thinking, and a strong passion for popular culture, new technologies, language and design trends. He has won more than 30 prestigious international awards, including 7 Cannes Lions.
Also to present herself to the participants of the festival is Mihnea Gheorghiu, Group Creative Director for Publicis Groupe (Romania), who will speak on “The Power of Doing”. Mihnea says he likes to create new ideas, but also to say the same things in a different way. During his career, he has gained experience in agencies around the world – LA DESPENSA Madrid, Leo Burnett Toronto, Dentsu New York, 360i, Young & Rubicam, and his creative works have won awards at all important international festivals.
Second day of the KAKTUS 2016 festival will be closed with a lecture by Ivan Pols, Creative Director at Adam&EveDDB London (United Kingdom), titled “Fame. Ideas that set the world on fire.” He began his career in 1998 with a start-up in South Africa, which quickly became the most awarded small agency. In 2006, Ivan moved to the agency Ogilvy Toronto, to teach them how creative agencies work in North America. Today he lives and works in London, and in his career he has won more than 100 awards, including the awards for integrated and digital campaigns.
The festival KAKTUS 2016 will also present awards for the best in the profession. Competing for these awards are 37 agencies and more than 40 advertisers with 135 registered campaigns. Awards are presented in 21 categories, and are intended for organizations, companies, institutions and agencies for the highest quality and most professional integrated and individual campaigns in the past year.
KAKTUS 2016 was supported by 28 media organizations from around the region, Coca-Cola HBC Serbia, Mercator S, Marbo, Delta Holding, Johnnie Walker, Ušće Shopping Center, Viber, and Heineken Serbia, which is this year’s Friend of the Festival. Partners of the festival are agencies: Direct Media, Pioniri Communications, Headline, Ovation BBDO, DPC Group, M2Communications and LED Media Bosnia and Herzegovina.
