Days of Communication begin today, and the organizers have prepared a rich program that definitely has something for everyone.
Check out below only a fraction of what organizers singled out from this year’s Days of Communication in Rovinj.
Debates
Always interesting debates will deal with the dark topics that even delve into astronomy. Who is guilty of mistrust towards the media – dark forces, retrograde Mercury? Should sexist advertising be banned, where are the borders, who sets them? There’s a lot of material … Be sure to come.
- How much do we believe the media?(Hall B, Thursday)
- Cucumber or melons: gender/sex in ad industry(Hall B, Friday)
Presentations
Instead of wandering in the park or watching the waves, spend your time on presentations. They will be interesting and current – from the web and the crisis in Agrokor to the B-report and GDPR (all those who don’t know what that means are always welcome). Waves can wait.
- Why websites fail, POWERED BY web.burza (DK Lounge, Thursday)
- Lessons on crisis communication from a nuclear reactor(Hall B, Friday)
- B-report & B-active, POWERED BY Marketing Magazin (DK Lounge, Saturday)
- GDPR as a business development mechanism(DK Lounge, Friday)
Panels
Some sweets were prepared for all those who love a good discussion. One is about native advertising and its (un)controllable development, and the second is about the increasingly popular eSports and Gaming – an entertainment industry greater than the movie or music industries.
- HUOJ: Non-native advertising (Hall B, Thursday)
- Role of eSports and Gaming in marketing as sport of the future(DK Lounge, Friday)
PPP
When the program ends, many grab a beer to refresh, and press on. But why not discuss hard topics over a beer, completely informally, making them more palatable?
- Agency fees(DK Lounge, Thursday)
- Beer, lies & data protection(DK Lounge, Friday)
- From Freelancer to Influencer(DK Lounge, Saturday)
Competitions
Last year gave birth to a host of successful campaigns and made their agencies and authors famous. Also, there are the Young Lions – the ones on whose backs the future of advertising world rests. Meet their works, and prepare for the awards ceremony.
- Young Lions finalists (DK Lounge, Thursday)
- Presentations of Effie finalists – Effie – ideas that work(Hall B, Friday)
- Grand PRix finalists(Hall B, Saturday)

Need explaining? OK, then let’s move on…

Award ceremonies
The final act of Days of Communication. Packed hall, almost palpable tension, colorful confetti prepared. Some are biting nails, some can’t even do that. Will the favorites take the day, or will some underdog swoop in? It’s a must-see spectacle!
- Effie Croatia and MIXX (Hall A, Friday)
- IdejaX and Young Lions (Hall A, Saturday)
