Global transformation of Publicis Groupe into Publicis One is entering the final stage in our region as well. Following the appointment of Miša Lukić as CEO for CEE of Publicis One, and the merger of Croatian operations with Slovenian (formerly Publicis Groupe Slovenia), a unified Publicis One Slovenia & Croatia was created, under the leadership of CEO Saša Leben, who is now being joined in the management structure by Toni Tomašek as chief creative officer (CCO) of this unified agency group with the aim of developing opportunities, efficiency and culture. Toni will still have a role of executive creative director (ECD) with some clients of the agency.
Toni is probably internationally the most experienced creative director in the region, a creative at heart and strategist by conviction. He’s the winner of the first two Cannes Lions in the region and still the only one for Slovenia. He joined Publicis Groupe in 2013 as creative director of Publicis, and the Publicis Groupe Slovenia, in which last fall he took responsibility of the executive creative director. He worked, and got educated in foreign agencies and projects within the networks of BBDO, McCann and Publicis Groupe, and has led the largest clients in the region as well as regional teams.
“All the reputable agencies will continue to operate as part of Publicis One (Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi and Leo Burnett). Through this transformation we are becoming a directly linked group of disciplines, expertise, talent, insight, data, digital and emerging technologies across the region. Efficient and agile, focused on future and creating value for clients, flexible for their needs and dedicated to joint results. Similar to how this takes place in the other 50 markets of the world,” explained Tomašek.
Joining the leadership in both countries is also Jasna Špelko as Chief Media Officer (CMO) of Publicis One Slovenia & Croatia. The role of Executive Creative Director (ECD) of Publicis One Slovenia is being taken over by Uroš Goričan, the only Slovenian graduate of the Berlin
School of Creative Leadership and the former creative director of Publicis Groupe Slovenia.
Publicis One also reported that Mojca Pesendorfer, a longtime strategic director, is taking on a new challenge on the client site at Argeta, to which throughout all these years she provided strategic support in the agency, which has resulted in many Effie awards, including two Euro Effies, which so far have been won in Adriatic region only by Publicis. Management of the strategic department thus goes to Eve Štark who learned under Mojca in the strategic department for six years.
