The London based agency Adam&Eve DDB this year broke all the records. After taking the title of the Agency of the Year in the competition for the Epica awards in Berlin, this agency celebrated again in Antwerp where for the second year in a row they won the Eurobest’s Agency of the Year.
The biggest number of awards, 71 of them, went to France, followed by Germany and Great Britain. Among the countries that usually don’t fare very well at Eurobest, Romania this year attracted great attention, winning twelve awards, their best result yet. Among them is the Grand Prix in the category Promo and Activation, for the campaign “Sunday Grannies”, a work by McCann Erickson Bucharest for Vodafone Romania, which also reaped awards at this year’s Golden Drum. Switzerland, which goes unnoticed for years, this year won 16 awards, including two Grand Prix. Both were in the PR category, for the campaign which was also rewarded at the Golden Drum, a special edition of the magazine Vangardist, printed in blood from HIV-infected people, a work by Saatchi & Saatchi Geneva.
Adam&EveDDB leaves with three Grand Prix
Agency of the year, Adam&EveDDB, won three Grand Prix. The first two in categories Film and Integrated advertising campaigns for “Monty’s Christmas”, which was created for the British merchant John Lewis, and the third in the category Film Craft, also for John Lewis, but this time for the work “Tiny Dancer”.
In the category Branded Content and Entertainment, the big prize went to the agency CHI & Partners London for their ad “Slide, Amazing in Motion”, in which Lexus presents their hoverboard. The highest accolade for Creative Effectiveness went to the Swedish agency Forsman & Bodenfors for the famous “Live Test Series” for Volvo trucks, while the Grand Prix for Design went to the French agency Rosapark Paris for the “Sounds of the City”, done for the railway network Thalys.
In the category Direct, the best was the campaign “Snackholidays”, work of the French agency Les Galois Puteaux for the airline Transavia. In the category Interactive, Grand Prix was awarded to agency Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam for “Imagination Machine”, done for the S7 Airlines. Grand Prix for Innovation was awarded to the London agency What3Words for the global platform “3 Words to Address the World”, and the Grand Prix in the category Media went to the Ogilvy Germany for “Rabbit Race”, done to the order of Media Markt.
In the category Mobile the throne was taken by the agency DDB Brussels with the campaign “Phoneaddress”, done for the Belgian mobile operator Base. In the category of Print ads, jury were most delighted with Coca-Cola ads “Peace” and “Love”, done by Ogilvy Paris. Grand Prix for Social went to the agency FCB Inferno London for the campaign “This Girl Can”, which was done for the organization Sport London.
Two Eurobest awards come to the Adriatic region
Agency New Moment New Ideas Company, Belgrade, with its work “Button for Help”, done for the Red Cross of Serbia, won a silver award in the category Outdoor, while the Croatian agency Imago for their work “A Consonant for Life”, done for the Croatian Association Transplant, received a bronze award.
Agency Network of the Year is DDB Worldwide; the Independent Agency of the Year is the Swedish agency Forsman & Bodenfors; Media Agency of the Year is UM Romania from Bucharest. The award for best production company went to the company Blink Productions.
