Visual Communication Studio Tumpić / Prenc continues their collaboration with French Groupe Bel, one of the largest cheese producers in Europe, more specifically with its art arm Lab’Bel. The Rovinj studio this time created the visual identity for the Lab’Bel‘s exhibition Metaphoria III, which was held in Paris in October and November.
“Since the exhibition in a way focuses on moving, on the posters we have used the motif of a box from which we come out and look to the sky, so we can travel indefinitely. We are happy to continue this positive cooperation with our French client who still recognizes our quality and effort,” said creative director of the studio, Anselmo Tumpić.
The title of the third Metaphoria exhibition, which was so far held in Greece and Portugal, is a play of words. It merges the words “metaphor” and “euphoria”, giving a new dimension to the concepts of “transport” and “joy”. Famous artists in the exhibition played with forms and materials from everyday life, drawing them from the usual context and giving them certain ambiguity. This expresses the desire to leave the boundaries of visual art in order to open and encourage dialogue between all artistic areas.
Studio Tumpić / Prenc has so far done several projects for LabBel, including visuals for the promotion of a special edition of the popular Bel’s cheese, whose packaging is painted by popular contemporary artists, and has produced a praised catalogue for the exhibition with which Bel unveiled artworks they collected over the years.
Lab’Bel was founded in 2010 with the aim of supporting art. Director of this small Rovinj studio, Sara Prenc Opačić, said it is a great success and confirmation of quality for the small Rovinj studio that they now have continuous cooperation with the French giant founded 153 years ago, which currently has affiliates in 33 countries.
