A very important event for the cryptocurrency community in Croatia was held in Zagreb – the first Balkan ICO Express & Blockchain Meetup. The forum gave a platform to 12 teams from across the region to pitch their projects in search of potential investors, it gathered blockchain entrepreneurs in the desire to create a regional platform that will connect start-ups, investors, consultants and knowledge-makers of blockchain technology and cryptocommunity. The opportunities are enormous, and the global market that has exceeded the entire 2017 in just the first quarter of this year in terms of funds. Support from regulators in Croatia may still be lagging behind, but support of crypto-community and media is certainly there.
Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Association (UBIK) organized this first event of its kind, and they were joined by the RED Agency, which provides market communication services. Apart from communication and organizational support, the RED Agency was also one of the first companies in Croatia which introduced cryptocurrency payments for its services. It is a sign of support not only for blockchain and crypto-community, but also adopting new trends and technologies that fundamentally change business processes.

Today, blockchain technology is our reality and offers tremendous opportunities.
