HALO oglasi classified ads have turned from the infamous thick print edition into one of the most popular advertising sites in Serbia over the past twenty years. In line with expectations and changes in user habits, now they launched a real-estate search app, just in time for the thousands of students coping with the challenge of finding an apartment to lease or buy.
This app allows users to draw out a part of the city where they are looking for an apartment, activate a large number of filters – such as price, floor, heating … and just enjoy, because their app will send a notification when an apartment that matches their filters appears on the market. This saves them all the fuss and panic of checking portals or print ads. Users can fully relax, do what they want and lay back.
This liberty of doing things that are fun is in the heart of the campaign created by the Communis DDB agency. Target group research has shown that the main benefit of this app, according to users, is that they “don’t have to be bothered with finding an apartment”, so the creatives of Communis focused on the leisure that the app provides to students at time when they are usually stressed out with the chaos of finding an apartment, since the app is doing all that for them.
“We’ve learned a lot working on this campaign about behavior and attitudes of the younger generation: how they accept or reject some things, what is cool, what is fun for them, and what attracts them to invest their time in things like putting rubber bands on watermelons, shuffle dancing, some even play retro games … Actors in the campaign during the shooting even taught us some new tricks, so we changed some things on the spot together with the client with whom we have phenomenal collaboration,” said Srđan Naumović, leader of this project.
Communis has created a series of short video spots for cable TV and digital channels, video teasers, radio spot and mini OOH campaign that started in early September.
