Igor Mladinović is one of those who believe that we are here to create. Creating something new, different, unexpected, and relevant, is something that fulfills him the most.
Even though he is spending most of his time in advertising, he creates outside it as well. Among other things, he filmed a documentary about the secluded beaches of the Adriatic coast, opened a unique restaurant in Zagreb that serves only štrukle (a national dish), created a souvenir of Zagreb without which no tourist will leave the city any time soon.
Igor thinks the universe is hidden somewhere in each of us, and his shortcut to that universe is a hot bath – the only ritual that he says helps him in creative thinking.
He thinks that advertising (as well as any communication) has meaning and effect only if it is pulled out of real life and therefore he observes the world with eyes wide open, he travels, studies and creates, creates, creates.
Igor is the man who brought Croatia’s first Cannes Lions two years ago. Today starts this year’s Cannes Lions, from which Igor may come back with a new lion and thus enrich Imago’s awards mantle.
