Young people at the conference had the opportunity to listen to presentations by leading experts in Bosnia and Herzegovina from the fields of marketing, personal development and training, on topics of smart cities and the use of data in business.
Presentations were held by Zvezdana Žujo, CEO and co-owner of Communis agency, and Aleksandar Mastilović, a consultant from the BH Communications Regulatory Agency and a leading expert in the theme of smart cities.
Zvezdana held a presentation tilted Brand Yourself, giving young people tips and useful experiences on personal branding.
Alksandar, on the other hand, talked about the latest knowledge on the theme of smart cities and the importance of using technology to improve the lives of citizens, as well as the importance of tech supported learning and the use of data.
The same day, the finals were held in the case study competition on the theme of smart cities and smart villages where students presented their solutions to these topics. Of the five winning teams, three-member jury composed of Zvezdana Žujo (Communis), Aleksandar Mastilović (Communications Regulatory Agency BiH) and Tatjana Vučić (BIT Alliance) chose the MAN team who proposed an interesting tech solution for the cultural network in cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This was also the winning team at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and next weekend they will compete on the regional level with the winning teams from Belgrade, Zagreb, Skopje and Ljubljana in the finals that will be held in Ljubljana.
The conference and competition are part of the Code.Innovate.Connect regional project through which several hundred young people from the former Yugoslavia have been included through various coding workshops, case study competitions and conference activities. The project is implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina by the Banja Luka Career Development Center (www.cerk.info) and the E-lab of the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka, in coordination with the Slovenian Ypsilon and with the support of SAP company.
