As part of the Discover Zagreb project, which is being carried out in Croatia by one of the world’s largest youth organizations AIESEC Croatia, Imago Ogilvy has provided an opportunity for young people from Serbia, India, Montenegro, Hungary and Jordan to experience working in an advertising agency for a month.
The projects envisaged under this program are aimed to create positive change in society so that they task students with designing a campaign for the association Noah’s Ark, which will promote the adoption of older dogs for the elderly. That is, the goal is to present numerous benefits of adopting older dogs when a host is an elderly person, not prone to daily runs and intense physical activity.
It is best to hear about how students found their time in Zagreb and imago from their own statements:
BRANKICA: Last three weeks were filled with laughter, anxiety, knowledge, experience and good team. Work in a healthy environment, with friendly people and creative team that is always ready to share knowledge, inspired me and motivated to further work on myself. Three weeks of practice in Imago have been more significant than years of learning from books and seminars, because we finally experienced it all in a real environment.
YASH: Excellent experience in which I learned new things, how to solve problems and properly place strategies. I’m really glad I had the opportunity to work in this exact advertising agency.
LAITH: It was a great opportunity to work on a project in this type of work environment and in such a creative agency. I’m very happy and grateful that I was here, thanks to Imago and AIESEC.
SARA: I finally had the chance to see everything we learned in theory over the last three years at college. At Imago I worked with people who are successful, who know what they’re doing and are trying to convey all the knowledge that they have. I am very grateful for that. I think that this international work experience will be very useful for my professional development.
SANJA: We got to see first-hand what it means to work in an agency and what its operations or sectors are. Apart from having the opportunity to work on a real project, the thing that was most important to me, and without which this experience would not be the same, were the people in Imago. The work environment is very positive, everyone wants to help, socialize, share their knowledge and skills. The agency had provided our team their own office, where we had our own freedom and that is why I felt even more as part of the agency. I learned many things about myself and human behavior. The most important thing I have learned, in such a good example, is that I know what kind of career I want, in what environment and with what kind of people. Only now I realize that it is possible to love your job.
