Coca-Cola has launched a campaign kicking off its Premier League partnership, placing focus on those for whom this sport is played – the fans.
‘Where Everyone Plays’ gives the spotlight to a range of fans of different clubs, celebrating their passion and the fan culture, conveying the message about the power of football to bring people together.
The spot brings some unique characters, like Everton fan favorite ‘Speedo Mick’ and Crystal Palace mascot Kayla the Eagle. The campaign cost Coca-Cola a pretty penny, ranging in millions of pounds, and was created by M&C Saatchi which brought together more than 250 real supporters of Premier League clubs, as well as some famous players.
The spot was directed by Stacy Wall: “I see the ad as an authentic and compelling love letter to all the fans of the Premier League on behalf of Coca-Cola. We feature real fans who contributed such magical integrity, reality and authenticity to the ad. They also display very clear faith, devotion and passion for the game which ties in perfectly with Coca-Cola’s ‘Where Everyone Plays’ campaign.”
The campaign coincides with the tour of the Premier League trophy around the UK, and it will also include a promotion in which one supporter will win the chance to be their club’s ’12th player’.
