All agencies for market communications from the region are invited to submit their projects to BalCannes competition, which will again be held in Rovinj as part of the Weekend Media Festival. Deadline for entries is September 1, 2018. The seventh edition of BalCannes, organized by the Croatian Association of Communications Agencies (HURA) and Weekend, will select 25 best communication projects from across the region. The best of them will win special jury prizes, BalCannes Lions, while the best agency from the region can look forward to a special prize – competition at the Cannes Lions 2019 International Festival of Creativity! Namely, the BalCannes organizers will cover the cost for registering one project to the Cannes Lions 2019 contest.
The jury, composed of 25 experts, representatives of clients, agencies and journalists from several countries in the region, will decide on the awards. It is interesting that BalCannes is a rare opportunity for competitors to find out firsthand how their projects are seen by three different juries – those consisting of clients, agencies, and media.
BalCannes accepts small projects and big campaigns alike, domestic projects and those created for the foreign markets, which are awarded as the best communication project created for the foreign market and adapted locally, as well as the best projects realized on the regional market.
Excellent news for all those who want to apply are special 4 + 1 gratis and 7 + 3 gratis offers. This year, for the first four projects submitted by the same agency, the fifth project can be submitted for free, while for the first seven projects submitted by the same agency, three additional projects are free for entry. BalCannes applications are conducted online at www.balcannes.com.
