“Integration of our two brands into one became an imperative. We had Akcija, as a digital agency, and Fenix, as an agency for the development of mobile and web apps. We realized that such a thing is not necessary and creates double work with two websites, two Facebook accounts, two Twitter accounts … In practice, it’s all one – a single agency. The new name Kontra represents who we are and what we did over the last five years; always contra written rules and the beaten paths,” said Ilija Brajković, a partner in the agency.
The agency decided to conduct the job of rebranding and a new visual identity fully in-house. The new logo communicates a different direction and growth of business that they want to provide their clients, and accordingly a new slogan is introduced: Turning things around. They decided on an unconventional story of unveiling the new brand, because they believe that agencies don’t necessarily have to be conventional and do as everybody else does.
A more detailed explanation of the rebranding is also given in the video that Akcija, or Kontra team prepared for this occasion:
“In the future we want to increasingly focus on export of our services. With our startup FenixApps we made apps and games for clients such as Disney, Discovery Channel, Renault, Microsoft and many others, and even then we knew that with our quality we can compete on the world market. In the last 12 months we have invested a lot of energy in the internal processes and market research, (re)defining what we want to be and what we want to do. We started as a social media agency, gradually expanding our set of knowledge and services, to become what we are today. We offer our clients a complete set of digital services, from social media marketing, internet advertising to the development of mobile and web apps,” concluded Petar Bogdan, a partner in the agency.
With a new visual identity, the agency unveiled a new website kontra.agency. All channels on social networks remain the same, but the language of communication is switching to English, to cater for the international market. Website akcija.com.hr will remain available, but the content creation is mainly switching to the new website.
