The New Moment agency has been working on implementing the ideas that were born during their annual New Moment festival and teambuilding, Orhideja, and as one part of these ideas, Goran Rudinac, the director of the New Moment’s digital agency in Belgrade, now takes on a regional role.
In order to develop digital services in the region, one of the first steps for New Moment will be to create the Production Hub as part of the office in Banja Luka, where a team of designers and developers will be involved primarily on the production of digital elements and products with the aim of serving all the New Moment agencies in the region.
As stated by the agency, “the best ideas are born at the Orhideja, because the energy and love for this job reach their maximum there. That’s where the idea for a project that was rewarded with 7 Cannes Lions was born, so we believe that this one will also be a winner.”
“We are an agency that invests in our staff, retains the loyal people, and promotes them solely for their effort and work. We are strengthening our New Moment network with our people because they know our existing customers best, and have a great respect towards the new ones. Goran has been a part of our story for 10 years, he works wholeheartedly, and he has proved many times over that he is a great person for this position,” the agency said amid Goran’s appointment.
Forming the Production Hub for New Moment means at least three things from the very start: reducing total costs by reducing the costs of outsourcing services in countries in which New Moment operates, sharing know-how and using the solutions across the region, and strengthening the position of local New Moment agencies in the region through growth and control of quality of digital products and services.
The focus of their work will initially be on the needs of offices in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, but as the team expands it will cover the needs for agency’s digital products in other offices as well (Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Albania and Kosovo).
Goran Rudinac shared what the Production Hub will look like, and his new role in it in the short interview below.
What will be your concrete position now?
Goran Rudinac: I’ve been working for years in the Digital sector and Digital Marketing. I have led the team that has been awarded for its work many times. From now on, I continue my career in the same agency, with the same energy and love for the job I do, but on the position of the Regional Director of Digital. The development of digital solutions and services in the region, education, the flow of ideas, information, offering, preparing big pitches, making detailed strategies and presentations are just some of the activities that I will be overseeing in my new job.
You’ve been with the agency for years. You probably have some considerable clients in your reference list?
Goran Rudinac: Yes, for over 10 years I’ve been part of the most beautiful ‘New Moment story’. When I say story, I really mean that. New Moment has given me a lot, and I’m proud that I’ve had the opportunity to get to know wonderful people, wonderful clients and work with big world brands, such as: P&G, Nike, Pernod Ricard, Ford, Nokia, Eurobank, Eagle Hills and many others.
Your job will initially be tied mostly to two countries. Is that a problem, or a challenge?
Goran Rudinac: Entire New Moment breathes as one. We’re used to working with colleagues from all the countries. When we prepare for a big pitch, we make sure to consult with colleagues from other offices and countries. The Banja Luka team has a special soul. It is a team of young and diligent people who give their maximum for every single client. They give their best at all times. They have a fantastic team, extraordinary motivation and energy, and thus the creation of the Production Hub – besides the development of the Banja Luka office itself – will be of great benefit to the local clients of the agency – and there are a lot of them who’ve been with the agency for years. The quality they provide, their winning ideas, the speed at which they deliver, these are just some of the benefits they have. I am very happy to see my career go in that direction, and to be a part of this phenomenal team. I do not see any potential problem in life and work at two locations. Most important thing is that I will transfer the knowledge and practice from Serbia, from projects with major global brands, to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that will certainly make us the leader in this field in this market as well.
Dragan Sakan’s saying that all the ideas have been dreamt long ago, and that smart combining of the existing ideas and solutions, is slowly protruding the digital world. I say slowly because global innovation in the digital world is unstoppable, but given the (lack of) sophistication of our markets, we are still quite far from many solutions. With this move and with the regional approach, we have given a new dimension to this ‘mantra’. We combine all the benefits provided by the strength of a regional company, and create benefits both on the creative and the financial field.
It seems that in marketing there’s a rule that you have to follow events in all the fields every day. Would you agree with that premise?
Goran Rudinac: There is an unforgiving rule in our industry – ‘UP OR OUT’. If during one quarter, or one year, you feel that you haven’t progressed in any field of your profession, you are out of the game, and are no longer competitive, neither in your agency team, nor is your agency competitive for the clients you work for. In any case, the most important thing is that you are personally aware of this. Make a list in a small black book, evaluate your own work, be self-critical. Talk to your colleagues, to your superiors, they will always point you to the things you need to improve.
And a statement to wrap up this interview…
Goran Rudinac: We continue gazing at the stars, dreaming new successes, and using the potentials of the New Moment region.
