THOMAS COOK ANNOUNCES LIFE-CHANGING NOVELTIES
Apple CEO Thomas Cook has announced that the tech giant is working on several revolutionary products, but that due to the planning within this company we will not see them for at least a few more years, Mondo writes.
“We develop each and every product according to very far-reaching plans. Three to four years in advance we develop silicon chips, which means we are currently working on projects that will not see the light of day until the mid-twentieth of this century,” he said.
Among them are, most likely, the Apple Glasses that have been rumored over the past few months. Last October, Cook said that AR technology for smart glasses was not yet sufficiently advanced for Apple to offer it to consumers. Company Quanta, which currently assembles Apple Watch and MacBook computers, would produce the glasses, and the vice president of that company, C. C. Lung, said that Quanta could have a product ready by the end of next year.
“The company’s success allows us to invest more resources in research and development, and some of our products in the future will really be something that will change your life forever,” Cook said. (Mondo)
PORSCHE PANAMERA WILL BE FIRST CAR THAT WILL BE OPERATED BY HUAWEI’S AI
Tech giant Huawei has made an advanced system for self-driving cars based on artificial intelligence that recognizes and understands the environment, and the first car equipped with this technology will be Porsche Panamera. The RoadReader project moves the boundaries of Huawei’s object recognition technology and unites machine learning, speed, and performance of its devices that use artificial intelligence. Huawei’s self-driving system is based exclusively on its own technologies that the company uses in its smartphones.
Unlike other autonomous cars that only detect obstacles, Huawei has transformed Porsche Panamera into a vehicle that recognizes and understands its environment. This vehicle can recognize more than a thousand different objects including animals, balls and other means of transport and apply the most appropriate action to avoid them.
