57 WORKS HAVE BEEN ENTERED FOR THE DIGGIT AWARDS
Until 22 May, when the final judging will be held, jury members will evaluate 57 entries for the Diggit award in 13 different categories. Most entries (12) were in the category Food & Drink and Retail. The automotive industry and non-profit organizations recorded 6 entries each, IT and telecommunications 5, and the same number of entries was in the Household items category.
Jury President is Lidija Rakuša, head of media buying at Lidl Slovenia, and the members are: Milena Jakovljevič, co-owner and head of digital marketing at digital agency Mediodrom, MSc. Mitja Jereb, strategic director of digital agency Renderspace, MSc. Jaka Lenardič, director of digital agency ENKI, Urša Mivšek Sitar, director of the Ljubljana office of advertising agency AV Studio, Barbara Randić, head of market communications for the region Adriatic in Renault Nissan Slovenia, Maja Remić, director of internet marketing and advertising of the company Merkur, Zoran Savin, director of Styria digital marketplaces, Robert Schmitzer, director of digital development at Delo, deputy managing editor of Slovenske Novice and manager of the portal slovenskenovice.si, and MSc. Primož Zupan, director of MBILLS.

38th BUSINESS CAFÉ IN ZAGREB: NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK
On 22 May at 18:00h, Zagreb will host its 38th Business Café, a regular gathering of small business owners and those who would like to be small business owners. Guests of the BC will be young people who are showing or have already proven their entrepreneurial talent and their parents.
How does the new generation think? What can we learn from them? How different are they, and in which sense? How can we prepare / adapt to them as our customers / consumers? Will they stay or go? These are all questions that will be answered by listening to these talented kids.
The youngest guest of the Business Café ever will be the YouTuber who is part of the first YouTube series in the region called Isti San, and airs on JoomBoose channel. Her name is Lara Borna Brkljač (10), and will be accompanied by her mother, the famous TV presenter Lana Pavić.
Through Skype, live from Solin, guests will be addressed by Ivan Mrvoš, better known as “that kid with smart benches”, the owner of the company Include which today exports smart benches to dozens of countries around the world.
Coming live is also Miro Čabraja, who successfully leads his own company La La Land, which is engaged in the organization and training of the youngest through various projects.
In the end the audience will listen to Mihaela Lekić who holds together the entire Business Café team, and already last year, at the age of 20, she held her first TEDx Talk.

TEAM CONNECTED WINS THE CANNES YOUNG MARKETERS COMPETITION
Florentina Dumitru and Stefania Bugan– the two members of team Connected – won the Young Marketers Competition in Romania, after intense training sessions and rigorous selection, during the 13th semester of The Alternative School for Creative Thinking.
The two are going to represent Romania in the Young Lions competition taking place at Cannes during the Lions festival in June, and will compete with similar teams from all around the world.
At The Alternative School – the 13th edition, admitted over 40 competitors from companies such as: Albalact, Altex, Bunge, CEZ, Golin, Glaxosmithkline, Electrecord, Henkel, Philips, Rogalski Damaschin, Vel Pitar, Skin, but also students from SNSPA University and The Faculty of Journalism from Bucharest, which received scholarships as a follow up from a competition held before the enrolment.
Among the leaders who evaluated the teams there were Elena Markos – Business Development Manager – UK, IRL & CEE, WGSN; Hande Guler – Creative Director DDB Berlin; Tahaab Rais – Head of Planning & Strategy F7 MENA; Nicoleta Padure – former Romanian jury member at Eurobest and Dubai Lynx festivals; Alexandru Haidamac – gold winner at the Young Lions Design competition; Alexandra Bombita & Andrei Chirisi – veterans of The Alternative School and members in Above 106 (the elite group of the school); Vera Gavrila – Strategy Director at Media Concept Store; Filip Gonzacenco – Art Director at Publicis Paris; Vesna Vlašić–Managing Director at McCann Serbia; Tamara Kostro – PR Director at McCann Adriatics; Alina Damaschin – Romanian jury at Cannes Lions PR 2017 and the Managing Partner of Rogalski Damaschin; Mara Cristina – Brand Manager, MiniPrix; and Florentina Taudor – CEO Renania, the long run supporter of The Alternative School and endorser for the winners at the international competitions.
